Fire detection service engineer needed by this independent systems installer based in the South East, looking after contracts in London -City, going out to the outskirts of the M25, North and South. The basic salary for this role starts at £30,000 for an experienced service and commissioning engineer, for applicants with the knowledge of Gent, Kentec Synchro and Vesda systems predominately. The position also comes with overtime, call out, car estate or saloon - unsignwritten(or allowance) and expenses. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a very professional installer.

This national fire systems installer require an engineer to be based at one large, prestigious site in Central London to carry out routine repairs, service and break downs as well as some small works installation and commissioning. The successful applicant will receive a salary of (c)£26,000 plus car, travelling time door to door, call out, overtime and the ability to earn commission, an AAE of in excess of £35,000 is easily achievable. While the role is predominantly based at one site on some occasions this will be a mobile role. This is an excellent opportunity to earn good money at a static site.

Candidates for this role must have the experience and ability to service, maintain, install small works and commission addressable fire detection systems and have a good understanding of BS 5839. Technical knowledge: Full and detailedunderstanding of BS5839 Pt:1 Has a sound knowledge of control and field equipment and be able to carry out quarterly, annual servicing, callouts, fault rectification and repairs. Has a comprehensive understanding of the causes and cures of fire alarm problems, including an ability to recommend changes to practices and processes that may cause false alarms as well as changes to the fire detection and alarm system. Completed Units 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 8 of BFPSA Training. Manufacturer Trained for whatever equipment expected to operate. Qualified electrician (City & Guilds 236 Pt2, Pt3) or equivalent (as a minimum the BFPSA/ECA Electrical Safety training). Supervisory training as the Company decides.
